Sunshine Coordinator
The position of Sunshine Coordinator is an appointed position (appointed by the President) and therefore is not subject to elections.
The duties of the Sunshine Coordinator are:

Send expressions of sympathy to members who have a death in the family. If the death is a member of the immediate family (defined as spouse and minor aged children), a memorial check for $25 shall be sent to the family or directly to a charity organization in the name of the member. Otherwise a sympathy card is sent on behalf of the Club. |

Send get-well cards to Club members who are sick and/or hospitalized. |

After checking with a family member for permission and wording, notify club members by telephone or email when a member is not well or has had a death in the family. Members are encouraged to send personal expressions of sympathy. |

Oversee the collection of funds for expenses, as may be appropriate, such as cards and/or postage. |

Prepare a Sunshine Report monthly for the Club Newsletter, summarizing what has happened to members. Again, permission must be obtained in advance from the subject families. |
